Alaska's Infectious Disease Program is dedicated to prevention and controlling infectious disease by monitoring disease occurrence and severity, enforcing school and child care tuberculosis regulation, educating the public and health care professionals, collaborating with communities and other partners to plan, implement and evaluate science-based strategies to prevent infectious diseases and to coordinate surveillance and control efforts.
